Blood Clot Formation Could Be A Possible Side Effect Of Contraceptives!

What are blood clots?

A small cut or an injury can break blood vessels, which results in heavy bleeding. When the bleeding stops, the blood becomes thick in the area of injury. The thickened blood is called blood clot. Blood clots prevent bleeding and simultaneously help in recovering from an injury.

But when blood clots are formed unnecessarily, it could be very dangerous and can even lead to even death. This is the reason why the situation of blood clot formation is considered serious (medically).

How birth control pills cause blood clot formation?

Birth control pills can lead to the formation of blood clots. Studies reveal that almost all contraceptives contain some amount of estrogen and progestin. These hormones increase the level of clotting. Regular intake of contraceptives such as yaz has also resulted in death of several women due to blood clots.

Other major side effects such of contraceptives include-

  • High blood pressure
  • Stroke
  • Pulmonary Embolism
  • Deep Vein Thrombosis
  • Death

What options do you have in case you fall victim to contraceptives?

If you have also suffered from any of the aforementioned side effects then you must know that there are strict laws to protect your rights in this case.
You must find an experienced lawyer and take appropriate legal action.

Even in case you do not have sufficient budget to hire a lawyer, you do not need to worry. There are lawyers that do not charge any fee from their clients until they win the case for them and get them the compensation they are entitled to.

Serious Health Issues Associated with Contraceptives

Husbands have lost their wives, mothers & fathers have lost their daughters, and many young women have lost their life and limb due to the side effects of birth control pills.

Statistics prove that women taking birth control pills are prone to numerous life-threatening problems, some of which are underreported when the drug company lists the side effects.  The results of such hormonal pills may be acute or chronic and may start with headache, numbness, or pain in legs.

Many cases of blood clot formation as the side effects of birth control pills like Yaz along with death have also been reported.Women that get blood clots may be exposed to many other medical problems besides pain, swelling, and headache. To name a few are enhanced food cravings, problems associated with the menstrual cycle, and more.  Whenever a drug like Yaz, Yasmin, Ocella, Gianvi or BeYaz alter the hormonal balance of the women’s body then the chance for the natural hormones and body processes to react and overreact to the alien hormone exist.

Blood clots may lead to many serious health issues (mentioned below), including death.

  • Heart attack- Blood clot formed in the blood vessels of the heart blocks the flow of oxygen, resulting in death.
  •  Pulmonary embolism- When arteries in the lungs get blocked due to blood clot, it leads to death (if immediate medical attention is not taken) or can lead to permanent scarring and damaging of the lungs.
  • Stroke- Clots can lead to brain damage and strokes as well.  Most strokes are classified as areterial events or ATE’s, although some may be Venous VTE’s or Sagittal Venous Thrombosis (SVTS)
  • Organ damage- Kidney, liver, and gallbladder damage.

If you or your loved one notices any side effects (from taking birth control pills) like pain, swelling, bumps, or numbness in the body, it is essential to immediately seek help from a physician. Hopefully, your symptoms will be acute and disappear, but your doctor should then assess whether you’re a suitable candidate to continue with birth control. If, heaven forbid, you have a permanent injury from your birth control, such as a blood clot, or you have lost a loved one, you should speak with a lawyer to fight for your rights. Before choosing a lawyer to fight for you, make sure the lawyer is qualified and has good amount of experience in handling such sensitive cases and preferably a Yaz Lawyer, Yasmin Lawyer, Beyaz Lawyer, Gianvi Lawyer, or Ocella Lawyer, that has experience winning cases involving pulmonary embolisms, deep vein thrombosis, strokes or death.

Ways to identify signs of a PE (pulmonary embolism)

Blood clotting can lead to fatal health problems. Pulmonary embolism (PE) is one such medical condition, which involves blood clotting that takes place in arteries, which supply oxygen to the lungs. Mostly the embolism forms in the lower extreme body parts. After the formation, it breaks free and travels with the blood flow towards the lungs and heart.

An embolism that is formed in legs first passes through the heart before it reaches the lungs.

In this post, you learn how one can identify signs and symptoms of a PE. Out of the many reasons that can cause an internal blood clot, the use of hormonal contraceptives such as yasmin can cause pulmonary embolism, especially since the active hormone has been shown to double the risk of clotting versus other birth control pills.

In severe and tragic conditions, yaz consumption may also cause death.

A PE is found my readily in adults, both males and females. Any adult can suffer from it especially those who have been on prolonged bed rest. Chances of embolism are higher after surgery. Physical injury, obesity, smoking, and long periods of constant sitting are some other factors that make anyone prone to it.  Hormones can impact and create a PE. For females, pregnancy or birth control can lead to it, for males the use of testosterone supplementation for Low-T may create one.

To recognize PE symptoms, be aware of your body’s physical conditions and limits. An early sign of this condition is difficulty in breathing, but sometimes people relate this sign to anxiety.

See if you are experiencing a sensation of light-headedness. This feeling may eventually lead to fainting and unconsciousness. If you experience something like this, it may indicate that your brain is not getting right amount of oxygen supply.

Another common symptom that can be indicative of pulmonary embolism is pain and discomfort in chest. The pain may range from dull to acute, or it could also be piercing or throbbing. Upon experiencing any unusual chest pain or any of these symtpoms, be sure to get your health evaluated by a doctor without any delay.

Feel and check your pulse rate and see if it feels rapid. This is another crucial observation that one must take into account along with above symptoms. See if your heartbeat is racing or if the pulse is erratic and rapid. However, one must observe what is normal for them in their daily living.

See if you have swelling or pain in legs as well. Many times swelling and pain is not noticeable initially, until it begins to interfere with bodily movements. However, if you do happen to notice discomfort or swelling, consider it an alarming sign and watch out for previous symptoms and see a doctor immediately.
